HEATING UP EFFICIENCY
A dependable hot water supply is essential in student accommodation, ensuring residents have access to heating and hot water throughout the day. At this site in Nottingham, the second calorifier tank, which serves one of the accommodation blocks, had failed, impacting the availability of hot water for residents within that building. It was crucial that the replacement was carried out efficiently to minimise disruption.
To install the new unit, our team first had to isolate and drain down the operational first calorifier tank, which was positioned in front of the failed unit. This required careful planning, as both tanks had to be removed before the new calorifier could be installed.
Working efficiently within a live residential environment, our engineers completed the installation within a timely manner. Once the new calorifier was securely in place, the system was recommissioned, restoring full hot water functionality to the affected block with minimal downtime.
